How a Lagos suya spot became a diaspora lifeline 6,000 miles away

Community Spotlight

Mama Ngozi's Kitchen had been serving suya out of a small storefront for eleven years before it ever appeared on a map beyond its own street.

That changed within three weeks of listing on Kamoky. A search from a Nigerian family in Houston led them to a cousin's recommendation, and to Mama Ngozi's profile page.

Today, Mama Ngozi's Kitchen runs a modest delivery route to three cities, coordinated entirely through requests that started on Kamoky.

It's a story we hear more often than you'd expect — recommendations don't stop at city limits when what's being recommended is home.
